About Code Camp Wellington on Saturday

What was Code Camp Wellington 2020 and why would you have wanted to come?

One Saturday

Invest in your tech career with a full day of learning & networking. Held at the weekend you so you don't have to ask for time off work.

Great Speakers

Hear from Wellington's finest new talent and some of New Zealand's best technical speakers. Check out our programmes from 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Technology Agnostic

Something for everyone, with presentations on the latest hot technologies, developing your career, and everything in-between.

$0 Tickets

Our tickets are free. Yes, free. That's right, no charge. We want everyone to be able to come.

Volunteer Run

A free one day Tech Conference organised by a team of volunteers for the benefit of the Wellington Tech community.

Not a Coding Boot-camp

We'll have speakers across multiple subject tracks; you can leave your laptop at home.

Here are some of our awesome volunteers who are contributing their time to speak at Code Camp.
Please note that session rooms and times are tentative until the day of Code Camp,
and we may need to adjust the agenda at any time.
We therefore encourage you to come along for the entire day,
rather than trying to target just one or two sessions.

Withdrawn Sessions

We want to call out a big THANK YOU to these wonderful volunteers who were confirmed as speakers for our April date but who now, for a wide variety of reasons, are not able to speak. Code Camp wouldn't be possible without volunteers like these contributing their time and expertise - we hope they'll consider speaking at a future Code Camp event.

Speaker Diversity

Code Camp Wellington is committed to doing what we can
to address inequality in tech in all its forms.

Before the cancellation of our April 2020 event, we were pleased to have brought together a line up of speakers that we believed was diverse across many dimensions - gender, cultural background, career path, education, industry experience, and more.

We are saddened that we've lost some of that diversity as we work through the challenges of putting on a rescheduled Code Camp event at short notice.

As we've done every year, we're breaking Code Camp into four different subject tracks.
This helps to ensure that Code Camp Wellington has something for everyone.

Code On Screen

Show us the code! Tell us why you think it's important and what we need to know.

Tech is a team sport. How can we build and contribute to teams that succeed?

What does it take to build a rewarding, engaging, and successful career in tech?

Cool Stuff

If it's tech you think is cool (or fascinating or surprising) then we probably will too.

Our Amazing Team

These are the volunteers responsible for bringing everything together to make Code Camp Wellington 2020 into an event to remember.

Thanks to our awesome sponsors - without their support we wouldn't be able to put together such an awesome day.
